Jim and Bev first met when a new Catholic Parish, St. Joseph's, was established on the West side of Indianapolis. Jim, who was a freshman at Cathedral High School, was a member of the parish and Bev was in the eight grade at Saint Joseph's new grade school.

 

A few months after Jim graduated from the University of Notre Dame on August 5, 1958, Jim and Bev with daughters Kristy and Becky moved to North Holywood, California in January 1959.

 

After moving a number of times to places in Lompoc, El Monte, Long Beach, Winter Park, FL Jim and Bev moved to Solana Beach, CA, with their eight children. That included, Kristy, Becky, Kevin, Cari, Bryan, Bret, Suzy and Erica.

 

In 1998 Jim and Bev moved to Carlsbad and in 2000 bought their condo where they now live.

On August 26, 2006 the celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with their eight children, 21 grandchildren and many friends at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlsbad, CA.
